So the tattoo session will be much easier for you.

3. What is a “Map of pain”?

Answer: Although a tattoo is painful, it is not really everywhere and not for everyone.
There are just places that are more or less sensitive.
For example, the areola of the nipples and ribs are considered among the most sensitive places to pain. In the area of ​​​​the armpits and the area under the knee will also be especially sensitive. The back, especially along the spine, is also usually painful. The most painless are usually: the shoulder, forearm, hips and calf muscle area.

4. How much does a tattoo cost?

Different artists have different criteria for evaluating their work: some are paid by the hour, others by sessions. Cheaper or free is sometimes only relatives. As the master decides. But if you are interested in the master, you liked his work and style of performance, do not look for cheaper than elsewhere – “greedy pays twice”, and in this case there will be no second time, because you get a tattoo – this is for life.
The interest of the artist in a particular work also matters.
If this is another boring “cat”, “birds” or “scorpion” – do not even hope for any discounts from the master. Artists are interested in large and interesting projects, like the whole back for 15-30 sessions, for example. With such healed projects, a tattoo artist will be able to go to a tattoo festival or tattoo championship and present his work there. Only in such cases can you really count on some kind of discounts or free corrections from a tattoo artist. And still it will be at the discretion of the artist himself.

5. How to choose a tattoo artist?

Answer: If the person you approached for a tattoo cannot draw, then where is the guarantee that he will depict something decent on your skin? Conversely, not every artist can be a tattoo artist.

It is definitely worth paying attention to what else the tattoo artist does, in what other work he or she manifests itself. Pay attention to the reviews about this person, to the work, and you need to pay attention to whether this person understands what a “sterile instrument”, “desterilization”, “disposable materials” are. A person who works in gloves, then goes to the toilet in them, and then again in them makes you a tattoo will not inspire confidence, right? Or he sneezes heavily into your tattoo, wipes his nose with his gloved hand and continues to make tattoos with the same hands .. Or, God bless you, wipes your tattoo with the same reusable textile TOWEL .. Think about your safety! If you have doubts about the tattoo artist, it is better to refuse the tattoo.

7. How to care for a tattoo?

Answer: After completing his work, the master will process the tattoo and apply a compress. Compress – the tattoo is lubricated with a special ointment* and covered with a special film on top**. This is done so that a fresh wound (a tattoo is a mechanical damage to the upper layer of the skin) does not get infection and dust while you get home from the salon. Upon returning home, do not rush to immediately remove the compress. If the tattoo was done in the evening, make a new compress for the night.

The process of applying a new compress:
1) We wash the tattoo under running warm water and soap. You can use ordinary soap, shower gels without fragrances.
2) Never and in no case DO NOT: treat a tattoo with alcohol-containing solutions, iodine or brilliant green! Not! Not! And once again No!!!
3) Let the skin breathe for 5-10 minutes, pre-moisten excess moisture with a towel or napkin.
4) Apply special ointment* in a thin layer over the entire surface of the tattoo.
5) Then we cover the tattoo with a diaper ** (you can replace it with cling film). The size of the diaper should be larger than the size of the tattoo, about 5-10 centimeters in each direction. In order for the compress not to slip, we fix its edges with a band-aid.
6) Change the compress every 12 hours for two to three days. In this case, repeat points 1-4.
7) On the third – fourth day, we refuse to cover with a diaper (film), but continue to apply periodically moisturizing ointment. Try not to let the tattoo dry out.
8) When the tattoo begins to heal and a crust appears, it is STRICTLY forbidden to peel off the crust, no matter how itchy. Having torn off the crust, you will simply ruin the entire work of the master by removing the paint with the crust. It is also more likely to cause a scar than you will also spoil the work of the tattoo artist.

* Special ointment – it is recommended to use wound healing ointments, which can be bought at any pharmacy. One of the best at the moment is “Bepanten” and “Bepanten +”.
